Xindu Metal to increase zinc die-casting alloy production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 24 Mar 23 - Ningbo Xindu Metal Materials Co., ltd., one of major zinc die-casting alloy producers in East China, expects to see an output of 3,500t or so in March.
"After the Spring Festival, we only resumed zinc alloy production on February 6, and the operating rate of the production line was generally low, resulting in only about 2,500t in February. In March, zinc die-casting alloy basically resumed normal production, and we expect the output to reach about 3,500t in March", a source from the company said, who also noted that they mainly engage in zinc die-casting alloy Zamak-3 and Zamak-5 production with zinc ingot 99.995%min sourced from local traders, and sell to the East China market.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 48,000t of zinc die-casting alloy, produced about 36,200t in 2022 and holds around 500t of zinc alloy stocks at the moment.
On Thursday, the mainstream prices of zinc ingot 99.995%min in warehouse Shanghai stood at RMB22,250-22,350/t (USD3,263-3,277/t) EXW, down by about RMB90/t (USD13.2/t) from Wednesday. At present, the overall demand in the zinc ingot market appears weak, coupled with the impact of negative news in the European and American financial markets, insiders predict that the prices of zinc ingot 99.995%min would remain fluctuating at a low level in the coming week.
