AMG plans to increase spodumene production capacity

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 24 Mar 23 - AMG Brasil S.A., a major spodumene producer in Brazil, plan to increase its spodumene production from current 90,000t to 130,000t in Q3 of 2023, according to a source from the company.
"Given the increasing demand from our clients, we plan to increase our spodumene production into 130,000t in this Q3, while our current production capacity records 90,000t," said the source, adding that they would produce around 7,500t of the material in March, without much change MoM.
Established in 2006, AMG Brasil S.A. owns an annual production capacity of 90,000t of spodumene at present. The company produced approximately 90,000t and 22,000t respectively in 2022 and so far in 2023. It holds no stock now, unchanged MoM.
The current mainstream spodumene 5.5%min prices for long-term orders in Brazil hover at USD4,850-4,900/t FOB Brazil, without much change from one week ago.
