Chuangyuan Metal to increase aluminum bar production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 24 Mar 23 - Inner Mongolia Chuangyuan Metal Co., Ltd., one major aluminum bar producer in Inner Mongolia, plans to increase their output to about 40,000t in April.
"We expect an output of around 30,000t this month encouraged by strong demand and abundant orders at present, and moreover we intend to increase aluminum bar production to nearly 40,000t in April. We have three of total four production lines in operation now and will operate all of them by the end of this month", a source from the company said, and added that they would produce around 20,000t of primary aluminum in March, and use up aluminum liquid on site in April when they would not produce primary aluminum any more.
The company, with an annual production capacity of 800,000t of aluminum bar, produced about 510,000t in 2021 and had no output in 2022, holding around 1,100t in stock now.
On Thursday, the mainstream TCs for Chinese aluminum bar 6063 φ120mm in warehouse Foshan hovered at RMB570-600/t (USD83-88/t) EXW D/P, down by RMB10/t (USD1.5/t) from Wednesday. Given that the current aluminum bar market sees strong demand with downstream customers' active purchase, insiders believe that the prevailing TCs for Chinese aluminum bar 6063 would go up in the coming week.
