European LC ferrochrome prices flat

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 24 Mar 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices steady from early this week due to the unchanged market demand. Currently, the mainstream prices for LC ferrochrome Cr65%min C0.1%max stand at USD3.75-3.80/Ib Cr in warehouse Rotterdam T/T 30 days at present, in line with early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep steady in the coming three days as most suppliers have no intention to adjust their prices.
A trader from North Europe mentioned, "We offer USD3.75/Ib Cr for LC ferrochrome Cr65%min C0.1%max and could accept the price as low as USD3.70/Ib Cr at present, in line with early this week". They did not conclude any deal this week and last sold around 50t at USD3.70/Ib Cr in late last week. They noted that the market demand keep unchanged in the recent two weeks, so they predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the coming three days and they have no intention to change their price as well.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 500t of LC ferrochrome Cr65%min C0.1%max, predicts to sell about 500t in March, in line with last month. They have around 500t of stocks at present.
A trader from South Europe disclosed, "We quote USD3.80/Ib Cr for LC ferrochrome Cr65%min C0.1%max and could not accept any prices lower than USD3.75/Ib Cr at the moment, unchanged from early this week". They did not receive any inquiry today and last sold around 25t at USD3.75/Ib Cr early this week. They estimate the mainstream prices would keep flat in the following three days and they would hold their price steady as well.
