Brazil Super Ligas decreases tin ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 24 Mar 23 - Due to limited raw materials, a major tin ingot 95%min producer in Brazil, Super Ligas Metals Industry and Commercial Co., Ltd., would cut the production of tin ingot to 70t in March, the source from the company to Asian Metal.
"We would decline the production to about 70t in March, down by 10t from last month due to the shortage of raw materials," the source from the company disclosed, adding that they would probably produce about 70t next month.
Based on an annual production capacity of 3,000t for tin ingot, the company purchases tin concentrate and tin scrap from local traders to produce tin ingot 95%min. The tin ingot they produced are used as raw material for their own solder factory, which produced products such as tin bar, tin wire and flux. The annual production capacity of their solder factory could reach 5,000t.
On Thursday, the mainstream prices of tin ingot 95%min stand at USD23,700-23,800/t EXW D/P locally, up by USD100/t from yesterday. Considering the tight supply and stable consumption from downstream, insiders predicted that the mainstream prices of tin ingot in Brazil would move up in the forthcoming days.
