BEIJING (Asian Metal) 24 March 23 - Based on the stable market demand, the prevailing prices of Chinese manganese dioxide alkaline 91%min stay at RMB17,000-17,300/t (USD2,491-2,535/t) EXW D/P today, unchanged from early this week. As downstream clients purchase cautiously and demand shows no significant increase, insiders believe that the mainstream prices of Chinese manganese dioxide alkaline 91%min would remain unchanged in the upcoming week.
A producer in South China noted, "We quote RMB17,300/t (USD2,535/t) EXW D/P for manganese dioxide alkaline 91%min today and we could consider the price as low as RMB17,100/t (USD2,505/t), and the price keeps unchanged for more than two weeks." They received no inquiry today and last sold about 200t early this month at RMB17,200/t (USD2,520/t). Although the downstream clients only purchase from hand to mouth, the producer plans to keep their price unchanged as they have no extra inventory. The producer expects that the prevailing prices of Chinese manganese dioxide alkaline 91%min would stay flat next week.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 70,000t of manganese dioxide alkaline 91%min, intends to produce approximately 3,000t in March, in line with the previous month. They hold around 3,000t of stocks at present.
Another producer in South China revealed, "Our quotation for manganese dioxide alkaline 91%min stands at RMB17,200/t (USD2,520/t) EXW D/P without concession today, on par with early this week."
