Zhuzhou Haida to increase LCO production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 23 Mar 23 - Zhuzhou Haida Group Haida New Material Co., one of a major LCO Co 60%min producers in Hunan province of China, plans to increase its LCO Co 60%min output by around 30t MoM to around 180t in March 2023, according to a source from the company.
"As we succeeded in gaining more orders from spot buyers over the past two weeks, we will produce around 180t of LCO Co 60%min this month, compared with approximately 150t last month," said the source.
With an annual production capacity of 3,000t of LCO Co 60%min, Zhuzhou Haida Group Haida New Material Co. produced about 1,800t and 280t of the material respectively in 2022 and so far in 2023. The company holds an inventory of around 70t at present, in line with late February.
Dragged by weak demand from buyers and sliding lithium carbonate prices, the current Chinese LCO Co 60%min mainstream prices in Zhuzhou, Hunan dropped to RMB280-290/kg (USD40.7-42.1/kg) delivered D/A 180 days, a decrease of around RMB20/kg (USD2.9/kg) from one week ago.
