Chinese LC ferrochrome export prices steady

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 23 Mar 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from early this week due to the unchanged prices of LC ferrochrome in domestic market. Currently, the mainstream export prices for Chinese LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max stand at USD2.52-2.54/Ib Cr FOB China, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged within this week because of the unchanged prices of LC ferrochrome in domestic market.
A trader from South China mentioned, "We quote USD2.53/Ib Cr FOB China for LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max with no concession at present, in line with early this week". They did not receive any inquiry so far this week and last sold around 25t at USD2.55/Ib Cr FOB China in mid March. They have no plan to change their price and predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged within this week.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 100t of LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max, predicts to sell around 60t in March, while they only sold around 20t in February. They have no stock at present.
A trader from South Korea disclosed, "We received the price at USD2.46/Ib Cr CIF South Korea for LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max from Chinese suppliers with no counteroffer at the moment, unchanged from early this week". They last purchased around 25t at USD2.50/Ib Cr CIF South Korea from a Chinese trader in mid February. They have no plan to purchase in March and might purchase next month. They estimate the mainstream prices would keep flat within this week.
