Chinese lead concentrate TCs unmoved

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Mar 23 - The mainstream TCs of Chinese lead concentrate 60%min stood at RMB900-1,100/metal ton (USD131-160/metal ton) delivered currently, unchanged from last Friday. As the market demand remained steady during the past week, insiders predict that TCs of lead concentrate would keep firmed in the forthcoming days.
A Hunan-based producer mentioned, "We sold about 120 metal tons of lead concentrate 60%min at TC of RMB950/metal ton (USD138/metal ton) delivered and refused any counterbid today and sold another 120 metal tons at the same price last Friday". The producer added that their lead ore, which also contains silver and gold, was popular with downstream clients. Due to stable consumption, they believed that TCs of lead concentrate would keep flat in forthcoming days.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 15,000 metal tons, plans to produce about 1,100 metal tons in March, up by 100 metal tons from last month, holding no inventory for the time being.
"We held the TC of lead concentrate 60%min unchanged since early last month. Our quotation for lead concentrate 60%min at TC of RMB1,000/metal ton (USD146/metal ton) delivered with no more concession during the past two days but didn't make any deal due to no stock," another producer in Guizhou disclosed. They last sold about 30 metal tons at the same price last Friday. As downstream clients purchased actively and the supply of lead concentrate kept sufficient, they predicted that TCs of lead concentrate might unchanged in the coming week.
With an annual production capacity of 1,500 metal tons, they would produce about 100 metal tons this month, up from 100 metal tons from last month. They hold no stock in hand at present.
