Chinese LC ferrochrome export prices flat

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Mar 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from early this week due to the unchanged prices of LC ferrochrome in domestic market. Currently, the mainstream export prices for Chinese LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max prices stand at USD2.52-2.54/Ib Cr FOB China at present, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep flat within this week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A trader from North China mentioned, "We quote USD2.45/Ib Cr FOB China for LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max with no concession at present, unchanged from early this week". They complained the market shows weak demand and they received inquiries from customers who only asked for prices. They last sold around 54t at USD2.60/Ib Cr in mid February. They have no plan to change their price and predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged within this week.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 100t of LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max, did not conclude any deal in March and predict that they could not conclude any order this month, and they last sold around 54t in February. They have no stock at present.
