Chinese HC ferrochrome prices unchanged

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Mar 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from early this week. Currently, the mainstream prices for Chinese HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max stand at RMB9,000-9,200/t (USD1,309-1,338/t) EXW D/P at present, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the coming week as most suppliers would wait for the purchase prices of steel mills have no plan to change their prices.
A producer from North China mentioned, "We quote RMB9,300/t (USD1,353/t) EXW D/P for HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max and could accept the price as low as RMB9,200/t (USD1,339/t) EXW D/P at present, unchanged from early this week". They received an inquiry today, but the customer refused to purchase at this price. They last sold around 100t at RMB9,300/t (USD1,353/t) EXW D/P early last week when they quoted RMB9,400/t (USD1,368/t). They have no plan to change their price and predict the mainstream prices would keep flat as most suppliers hold watchful attitudes and would wait for the mainstream prices of steel mills.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 22,000t of HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max, predicts to produce around 2,400t in March, unchanged from last month. They have no stock at the moment.
A trader from North China disclosed, "We offer RMB9,000/t (USD1,310/t) EXW D/P for HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max with no concession at present, in line with early this week".
