"As the prices of tin ingot went down during the past week, most of our clients held watchful views to the market. Therefore, we decide to produce about 100t of tin ingot this month, down by around 20t from last month," the source from the company revealed, adding that whether they to increase production next month depends on market conditions.
Based on an annual production capacity of 2,000t for tin ingot, the company purchases tin concentrate 40%min-60%min from all over the world to produce tin ingot 99.85%min, hold no inventory at the moment . They also have a tin solder plant and mainly produce tin solder bar of 63A.
On Monday, the mainstream prices of tin ingot 99.85%min stand at USD22,500-22,600/t EXW D/P in Thailand, down by USD100/t from yesterday . Although most downstream clients prefer to wait and see the market, many of suppliers had no intention to lower their prices due to limited raw materials . So, insiders predicted that the Thai mainstream prices of tin ingot would keep flat in the upcoming week.
