Chinese LC ferrochrome export prices unchanged

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 21 Mar 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from late last week due to the unchanged market demand. Currently, the mainstream export prices for LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max stand at USD2.52-2.54/Ib Cr FOB China, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep flat within this week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A trader from North China disclosed, "We offer USD2.45/Ib Cr FOB China for LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max with no concession at present, unchanged from late last week". They received an inquiry from Europe today, but the customer did not response after they quoted this price. They last sold around 54t at USD2.50/Ib Cr FOB China in late February. They have no plan to change their price and predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged within this week.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 200t of LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max, predicts to sell around 150t in March, down by around 50t from last month. They have no stock at the moment.
A trader from North China mentioned, "We quote USD2.49/Ib Cr FOB China for LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max and could accept the price as low as USD2.47/Ib Cr FOB China at the moment, in line with late last week". They did not conclude any deal so far this week and last sold around 27t at USD2.46/Ib Cr in early March. They have no plan to change their price and predict the mainstream prices would keep flat within this week.
