Chinese PrNd mischmetal prices temporarily steady

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 20 Mar 23 - Most producers believed that consumers started to purchase from hand to mouth yesterday when they closed deals with small volume. Therefore, they most producers kept their prices unchanged from yesterday, the current mainstream prices of Chinese PrNd mischmetal stand at RMB665,000-670,000/t(USD96,468-97,193/t) EXW T/T 30 days, in line with yesterday. However, most producers still remain pessimistic about the market because of the weak demand. Insiders believe that the mainstream prices of Chinese PrNd mischmetal would go down further in the following week.
A producer in North China disclosed, "We presently offer RMB665,000/t (USD96,468/t) EXW D/P for PrNd mischmetal and could possibly sell at the price as low as RMB660,000/t (USD95,742/t) ". The producer maintained their price unchanged from yesterday as they just sold about 3t at RMB660,000/t (USD95,742/t) yesterday when they believed that consumers started to replenish stocks with small volume. But the producer still stay downbeat towards the market and expects that the mainstream prices of Chinese PrNd mischmetal would decline further in the following week.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 2,400t of PrNd mischmetal, estimates to produce around 50t in March in line with February. They have an inventory of nearly 5t at present.
A producer in Southeast China revealed that their current quotation for PrNd mischmetal stood at RMB665,000/t (USD96,468/t) EXW D/P and they would probably sell at prices no less than RMB660,000/t (USD95,742/t). "We hold our price unchanged from yesterday and we sold 2t at RMB665,000/t (USD96,468/t) yesterday", the producer mentioned. However, the producer predicts the mainstream prices of Chinese PrNd mischmetal would go down further in the following week due to the weak demand.
Based on a production capacity of 500tpy, the producer estimates to produce nearly 10t this month, in line with February. They hold an inventory of about 10t now.
