Daqo puts 200ktpy polysilicon project (Phase I) into production

Daqo New Energy (Inner Mongolia) held a commencing ceremony for commercial production of the first phase of a high-purity polysilicon project and construction of the project's second phase on March 15.
The project's first phase, with an annual production capacity of 100,000t of high-purity polysilicon, will be invested with RMB8.55 billion (USD1.25 billion) and annually bring an industrial output value of RMB13.8 billion (USD2.01 billion) and tax of RMB2.5 billion (USD364 million) upon reaching designed capacity. The second phase, with an annual production capacity of 100,000t, will be invested with RMB9.3 billion (USD1.35 billion) and come on stream by the end of 2023 as planned.
The project will create an annual industrial output value of RMB27.6 billion (USD4.02 billion) in total, as well as tax of RMB5 billion (USD728 million), when both of its two phases reach full capacity.
