US initiates first antidumping and countervailing review on aluminum foil from China

On March 1, 2023, US Department of Commerce (USDOC) issued a notice to launch the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation on aluminum foil imported from China. At the same time, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) gives notice that it has instituted reviews pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, to determine whether revocation of the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on aluminum foil from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury. Interested parties should register their responses with USDOC within 10 days from the date of this announcement, submit their responses to ITC before March 31, 2023, and submit comments to ITC on the adequacy of responses by May 11, 2023.
