BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Mar 23 - As importers purchased inactively, the American praseodymium oxide 99.5%min market witnessed limited buying activities over the past week. The current praseodymium oxide 99.5%min mainstream import prices in America slid to USD86-89/kg CIF America now, down by around USD7/kg from one week ago. In view of buyers' wait-and-see attitudes, insiders forecasted that the praseodymium oxide 99.5%min mainstream import prices in America would drop further in the forthcoming week.
An American importer revealed that his regular Chinese exporters quote about USD90/kg CIF America for praseodymium oxide 99.5%min to him at present. Based on his experience, he could buy at around USD89/kg now, while he couldn't buy at prices below USD96/kg one week ago. "I concluded my latest procurement late last week, when I bought three tons at around USD96/kg," said the importer, who plans to hold a wait-and-see attitude towards the praseodymium oxide 99.5%min market due to soft demand from his end users. He forecasted that the mainstream import prices of praseodymium oxide 99.5%min in America would slide further in the upcoming week.
The importer, with a typical monthly import volume of one ton of praseodymium oxide 99.5%min, estimates to import around three tons in March, compared with about five tons in February. He imported about eight tons so far in 2023, compared with around 15t in 2022. He holds an inventory of around five tons at present, in line with mid-February.
Another American importer noted that his regular Chinese exporters lower praseodymium oxide 99.5%min quotation to about USD86/kg CIF America to him now. According to his experience, he couldn't bargain for better prices if he would replenish stocks now, while he had difficulty in importing at prices below USD99/kg half a month ago. He last imported four and a half tons at around USD105/kg in early February. "I didn't import praseodymium oxide 99.5%min over the past month as my end users held wait-and-see attitudes," said the importer, who predicted that the praseodymium oxide 99.5%min mainstream import prices in America would go down by around USD3/kg in the coming week as American importers purchase inactively.
