Chinese LC ferrochrome prices flat

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Mar 23 – Most suppliers hold watchful attitudes and did not change their price from early this week. Currently, the mainstream prices for Chinese LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max stand at RMB14,800-15,000/t (USD2,145-2,174/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from early this week. Insiders estimate the mainstream prices would keep flat in the following week as most suppliers would like to hold their prices unchanged.
A trader from North China disclosed, "We offer RMB15,000/t (USD2,174/t) EXW D/P for LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max with no counteroffer at the moment, unchanged from early this week". They did not receive any inquiry today and last sold around 5t at RMB15,000/t (USD2,174/t) EXW D/P early this week. They complained the market shows weak demand in the recent two weeks. They did not want to replenish stocks and they only consider to do the back to back trading business. They have no intention to adjust their price and estimate the mainstream prices would keep steady in the coming week.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 30t of LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max, expects to sell around 30t in March, unchanged from February. They have no stock at present.
A trader from South China mentioned, "We quote RMB15,100/t (USD2,189/t) EXW D/P for LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max with no concession at present, in line with early this week". They did not conclude any deal today and last sold around 20t at RMB15,100/t (USD2,189/t) EXW D/P early this week. They have no plan to change their price and predict the mainstream prices would keep flat in the following week.
