Hezhou Jinqi Mining to resume lead concentrate prodcution

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Mar 23 - Hezhou Jinqi Mining Co., ltd., one of major lead concentrate 50%min producers in Guangxi, would resume production of lead concentrate in late this week with the production of 60 metal tons in March.
"After NPC and CPPCC, we would resume production these two days and probably produce about 60 metal tons in March, up by 60 metal tons from last month," the source noted, adding that they suspended production since early January. They monthly production could reach 300 metal tons, but there was almost no full production throughout a year. They would probably produce nearly 100 metal tons next month.
The producer, with an annual capacity of 1,500 metal tons for lead concentrate, produced about 750 metal tons in 2022 and recorded no production so far this year, holding no inventory now. They have two dressing plants, with daily processing capacity of 500t and 300t respectively. As the rainy season in Guangxi started from March to May every year, many local mines produced abnormally recently.
The current mainstream TCs of lead concentrate 50%min stand at RMB1,100-1,200/metal ton (USD160-174/metal ton) delivered in Guangxi, unchanged from last week. In light of stable consumption and tight supply, insiders believe that the prices of lead concentrate would edge up slightly in the coming week.
