Suichang Huijin Nonferrous increases tin ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Mar 23 - Suichang Huijin Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., one of major tin ingot 99.95%min producers in East China, as there was surplus of raw materials after checking the inventory, and expects to climb tin ingot output to about 260t in March, a source from the company to Asian Metal.
"As we checked the inventory and found that there was a surplus of raw materials recently. We would expand the production to about 260t in March, up by 110t from last month," noted the source, adding that they would probably produce about 200t next month.
The producer, based on an annual production capacity of 3,000t of tin ingot, totally produced about 2,500t in 2022 and around 480t so far this year, holding an inventory of 10t at present. The company purchases tin scrap, mainly using anode slime from copper smelters as the raw material, to produce tin ingot 99.95%min and sold to some solder factories in East China. They have three 1,250kVA furnaces in total and two of them in operation.
The mainstream prices of Chinese tin ingot 99.95%min stood at RMB187,000-189,000/t (USD27,162-27,453/t) in East China on Wednesday, up by RMB1,000/t (USD145/t) from yesterday. In view of the weak market demand, insiders predict that prices for tin ingot 99.95%min would go down slightly in the following days.
