A producer in Southern China noted that they offer RMB1,470/kg (USD213/kg) EXW D/P for indium ingot 99.995%min at present and could accept RMB1,460/kg (USD211/kg) EXW D/P at lowest even for firm bids, unchanged from early this week, while they failed to close any deal since this Monday . They last sold around 2.2t at RMB1,470/kg (USD213/kg) EXW D/P in the middle of last week. As the price of crude indium 99%min stays firm at RMB1,410/kg (USD204/kg) EXW D/P now, they have no plan to lower the price further to compete for orders . The source said, "We forecast that the mainstream prices of Chinese indium ingot 99 . 995%min would remain stable in rest days of this week in view of firm prices of raw materials, while soft demand from consumers now."
Having a production capacity of 120tpy of indium ingot 99.995%min, the producer expects to produce around 10t in March, up by about 3t from last month . They keep holding around 20t of stocks . They produced about 100t in 2022 and around 14t in the past two months in 2023.
