Chinese HC ferrochrome prices flat

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 15 Mar 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from early this week. Currently, the mainstream prices for Chinese HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max stand at RMB9,100-9,300/t (USD1,323-1,352/t) EXW D/P at present, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged within this week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A producer from North China mentioned, "We quote RMB9,250/t (USD1,345/t) EXW D/P for HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max 10-50mm and could accept the price as low as RMB9,200/t (USD1,338/t) EXW D/P at present, unchanged from early this week". They did not conclude any deal this week and last sold around 60t at RMB9,200/t (USD1,338/t) EXW D/P mid last week. They hold watchful attitudes and have no plan to change their price because they would like to wait for the purchase prices of steel mills, and they also noted that the chrome ore prices stand at high level this week. They predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged within this week.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 96,000t of HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max, predict to produce around 6,000t in March, unchanged from last month. They produced about 54,000t in 2022 and about 18,000t so far in 2023. They have no stock at present.

They have no plan to change their price within this week and estimate the mainstream prices would keep flat as well.
