Chinese recycled battery prices down

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 15 Mar 23 - Most suppliers of recycled deep cycle battery decreased their prices in terms of declined prices of lead ingot. The current mainstream prices of Chinese recycled deep cycle battery remained at RMB8,600-8,750/t (USD1,252-1,274/t) Ex-Vat EXW, down by RMB100/t (USD14.6/t) from early this month. Upon both stable supply and demand, most insiders predict that prices of recycled deep cycle battery would stabilize in the coming week.
"We purchased about 200t of recycled deep cycle battery at RMB8,600/t (USD1,252/t) Exw-Vat delivered today and purchased around another 200t at such price yesterday," a consumer in Guangdong claimed. While they last purchased about 200t of recycled deep cycle battery at RMB8,700/t (USD1,267/t) Exw-Vat delivered in early March. In view of the stable consumption from downstream clients, the consumer believes that the prices of recycled deep cycle battery would keep stable in the coming week.
The consumer, with an annual consumption capacity of around 150,000t of recycled battery, would consume about 4,500t this month, up by 1,500t from last month, holding no inventory currently.
Another consumer in Guangdong revealed, "We purchased about 300t of recycled deep cycle battery at RMB8,600/t (USD1,252/t) Exw-Vat delivered without any concession today, down by around RMB100/t (USD14.6/t) from early this month as the prices of lead ingot went down". While they last purchased about 200t at RMB8,700/t (USD1,267/t) Exw-Vat delivered on March 4th. They added that the supply of raw materials remained sufficient in Guangdong market. Therefore, they predict that most suppliers of recycled deep cycle battery would held their prices unchanged for promotion.
