BEIJING (Asian Metal) 9 Mar 23 - Based on high production costs, most producers kept their prices unchanged after they lowered prices this Monday
A producer in Southwest China disclosed, "We presently offer RMB5,500/t (USD789/t) EXW D/P for cerium oxide 99.9%min, La 500ppm max, Pr 300ppm max, Nd 100ppm max, Ca 50ppm max, chlorate 500ppm max and could possibly sell at the price as low as RMB5,400/t (USD774/t) for orders no less than 30t" . The producer maintained their price unchanged from early this week and closed no deal yet this week. They last sold about 20t at RMB6,000/t (USD860/t) on 20th February . The producer plans to stick to their current price due to high production cost and expects that the mainstream prices of Chinese cerium oxide would stay steady in the following week.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 480t of cerium oxide 99.9%min, predicts to produce around 36t in March and produced 30t in February . They have an inventory of nearly 150t at present.
A producer in North China revealed that their current quotation for cerium oxide 99.95%min, La 100ppm max, Pr 100ppm max, Nd 100ppm max stood at RMB6,100/t (USD875/t) EXW D/P and they would probably sell at the price no less than RMB6,000/t (USD860/t) for orders over 30t . They held their price unchanged from yesterday. "We didn't not close any deal this week and last sold about 60t at RMB7,000/t (USD1,004/t) at the beginning of January . The producer, supported by high production cost, plans to keep their price firm and expect that the mainstream prices of Chinese cerium oxide would remain unchanged in the coming week.
Based on a production capacity of 2,400tpy, the producer estimates to produce nearly 200t this month, in line with February. They hold an inventory of nearly 100t at the moment.
