Chinese HC ferrochrome prices unchanged

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 9 Mar 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from early this week because of the unchanged market demand. Currently, the mainstream prices for Chinese HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max Si5%max stand at RMB9,150-9,350/t (USD1,313-1,342/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged within this week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A producer from North China mentioned, "We quote RMB9,100/t (USD1,306/t) EXW D/P for HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max Si5%max and could accept the price as low as RMB9,000/t (USD1,292/t) EXW D/P at present, unchanged from early this week". They received an inquiry today, but customer held watchful attitudes and refused to purchase at this price. They last sold around 60t at RMB9,100/t (USD1,306/t) EXW D/P late last week. They have no plan to change their price and predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the following week.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 216,000t of HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max, predicts to produce around 14,000t in March, unchanged from last month. They hold no stock at present.
A consumer from South China disclosed, "We received the price RMB9,600/t (USD1,378/t) delivered D/P for HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max Si1%max with no concession at present, in line with early this week". They last purchased around 10t at RMB9,600/t (USD1,378/t) delivered D/P early this week and plan to purchase another 10t next week. They predict the mainstream prices would decrease in the coming week but would keep unchanged within this week.
