JISCO Hongxing to add 3.65Mt steelmaking capacity through replacement

In accordance with relevant guidelines and implementation measures issued by the State Council, the 3.65Mt steelmaking capacity replacement scheme drawn up by JISCO Hongxing Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. will be made public by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Gansu Province from March 6 to 31, 2023.
The company plans to add steelmaking capacity of 3.65 million tonnes per year, which is expected to come on line in October 2025. It will close steelmaking capacity of 4.25 million tonnes per year, most of which is for replacement of the newly-planned capacity.
