Chinese lead concentrate TCs stable

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 8 Mar 23 - Considering that the supply and market demand kept flat during the past week, most suppliers held their TCs unmoved today. The mainstream TCs of lead concentrate 60%min stood at RMB900-1,100/metal ton (USD130-159/metal ton) delivered today, unchanged from last week. Given that the market demand remained steady, insiders predict that TCs of lead concentrate would level off as the following days.
"We held the TC of lead concentrate 65%min stable since last week. We could consider accepting the TC as low as RMB980/metal ton (USD141/metal ton) EXW," a producer in Yunnan disclosed. They sold about 100 metal tons today and sold around 90 metal tons last week at such price respectively. Upon both flat supply and market demand, they predicted that TCs of lead concentrate would stabilize in the coming week.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 6,000 metal tons, plans to produce about 400 metal tons in March, identical to last month, holding no inventory at this moment.
Another producer in Yunnan revealed, "Due to the stable consumption, our quotation for lead concentrate 60%min remained unmoved for nearly one month. We sold about 100 metal tons of lead concentrate 60%min at TC of RMB1,200/metal ton (USD173/metal ton) delivered with no more concession today and sold another 100 metal tons at such price last week". The producer estimates that TCs of lead concentrate would keep steady in forthcoming days driven by stable consumption from downstream clients.
With an annual production capacity of 5,000 metal tons, they would produce about 400 metal tons this month, in line with last month. They hold no inventory in hand now.
