BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 Mar 23 - From late last month, aluminum fluoride producers increased production weighing on the price. Current prices for aluminum fluoride 61%min in China keep at RMB8,750-8,850/t (USD1,262-1,277/t) delivered, down by RMB150/t (USD22/t) from late last week for the increased supply. Producers anticipate further price decline in the coming week.
A producer of aluminum fluoride in north China reported that they lately sold close to 1,000t of aluminum fluoride 61%min to a major regular consumer at around RMB8,900/t (USD1,284/t) delivered with the freight less than RMB200/t (USD29/t) late last week, compared with around RMB9,500/t (USD1,370/t) delivered one month ago for the same quantity. "We reached full operation from early last month and the supply increased," said the source, who now keeps around 800t in stock and usually holds no stock. For the increased supply, the source anticipated lower prices despite current offer of RMB8,900/t (USD1,284/t) delivered.
With two production lines and the total production capacity of 45,000tpy, they produced over 3,000t in February, up from close to 2,000t in January. They produced around 27,000t in 2022.
An aluminum fluoride 61%min producer in Shandong confirmed that a major local consumer now requests prices below RMB8,900/t (USD1,284/t) delivered.
