Chinese tin solder TCs unmoved

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 2 Mar 23 - Although the prices of raw materials went down today, most suppliers of tin solder held their TCs unmoved supported by production cost. The current mainstream TCs of Chinese tin solder Sn 99.3%min Cu 0.7%max stand at RMB7-7.5/kg (USD1.0-1.08/kg) EXW D/P, unchanged from yesterday. Supported by production cost, insiders predict that the mainstream TCs of Chinese tin solder would remain steady in the forthcoming days in spited of weak demand.
A producer in Fujian reported, "We remained our TC at RMB7/kg (USD1.0/kg) EXW D/P for tin solder Sn 99.3%min Cu 0.7%max without any concession during the past week". They sold about 1t at such price but didn't conclude any deal yesterday due to no inquiry. They added they could quite accept processing on giving materials due to dim market, and they quoted about TC at RMB2/kg (USD0.29/kg) EXW D/P for processing with supplied materials. They estimate that the mainstream TC of Chinese tin solder would keep firm supported by production cost in the following days in spite of weak market demand.
With an annual production capacity of 240t. They plan to produce around 12t this month, up by about 2t from last month, holding no inventory currently.
"We sold about 1t of tin solder Sn 99.3%min Cu 0.7%max at TC of around RMB7.5/kg (USD1.08/kg) EXW D/P today with no more concession and around 2t at the same price yesterday," another producer in Guangdong added. They disclosed that the market demand kept inactive during the past two days. However, the producer predicts that the mainstream TC of Chinese tin solder keep flat supported by production cost this week.
With an annual production capacity of 6,000t. They plan to produce 150t this month, on par with last month, holding an inventory of 90t now.
