In 2022, the country's coal production accumulated 437 million tons, up by 0.4% compared with that in 2021, including 218 million tons of thermal coal (non-coking bituminous coal), down by 7 . 1% year on year; 105 million tons of coking coal, an increase of 4 . 5% year on year; 24 . 4 million tons of anthracite, a decrease of 3 . 5% year on year; and 89 . 4 million tons of lignite, rising by 19 . 7% year on year.
