On February 1, the Shanxi Provincial Emergency Management Department and the Shanxi Provincial Local Coal Mine Safety Administration issued a notice ordering Jushan Coal Mine Co., Ltd. of Shanxi Lanhua Group to stop production for rectification.
On January 27, 2023, a safety accident occurred in Jushan Coal Mine Co., Ltd. of Shanxi Lanhua Group, killing four people.
The notice clearly stated that Jushan Coal Mine Co., Ltd. of Shanxi Lanhua Group stopped production and carried out rectification from now on, with a rectification recovery period of three to six months, and revoked its second-level standardization level.
The coal mine where the accident occurred is located in Zezhou, Jincheng, belonging to Shanxi Lanhua Coal Industry Group Co., Ltd., a state-owned local coal mine, with an approved production capacity of 900,000 tons per year, and is a normal production mine.
