First furnace of CNGR's Indonesian Weda Bay nickel matte project goes into operation

CNGR stated that on January 12, 2023 WIT, No. 48 electric furnace of its Weda Bay nickel matte project in Indonesia saw outputs, indicating that CNGR's second overseas industrial base went into formal operation.
The No. 48 electric furnace adopts mature nickel matte integrated smelting technique with an annual nickel production capacity of 13,750 metal tons; meanwhile, No. 47 electric furnace also has been heated, ready for production. The two furnaces are expected to reach full operation in January 2023. When all project facilities are built and ramp up to its nameplate capacity, the project is expected to have an annual production capacity of 27,500t of nickel matte.
