SIA: Global semiconductor industry sales down by 9.2% YOY in Nov

On January 9, the American Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reported that the global semiconductor industry sales in November 2022 recorded USD45.5 billion, down by 2.9% from USD46.9 billion in October 2022 and 9.2% from USD50 billion in November 2021.
From the regional perspective, the sales in the Americas (5.2%), Europe (4.5%) and Japan (1.2%) increased year-on-year in November, but sales in the Asia-Pacific region/all other regions (-13.9%) and China (-21.2%) decreased on a year-on-year basis.
The forecast predicts that the global sales of the industry would reach USD580.1 billion in 2022, higher than USD555.9 billion in 2021. By 2023, global sales are expected to reach USD556.5 billion.
