Guizhou Manganese Mineral Group develops coal-electricity-manganese circular economy project

The coal-electricity-manganese circular economy project developed by Guizhou Manganese Mineral Group Co., Ltd. is one of many key projects at provincial level in Guizhou. The project, considered as an upgrade to the traditional manganese processing industry, will mainly produce high-purity manganese sulfate and electrolytic manganese dioxide, which are raw materials for new energy battery. The project consists of two phases, and the first phase broke ground in August 2017 to build a production line with capacity of 30,000tpy of high-purity manganese sulfate and 16,500tpy of electrolytic manganese dioxide. The second phase, with investment estimated at RMB490 million (USD70.32 million), has a designed capacity of 30,000tpy of high-purity manganese sulfate and 16,500tpy of electrolytic manganese dioxide and is expected to commence construction next year. Upon completion of the phase two, the company would have an annual production capacity of 60,000t of high-purity manganese sulfate and and 33,000t of electrolytic manganese dioxide.
