2.1 China's central bank to cut RRR by 0.25 percentage points
The People's Bank of China announced on November 25 that it will cut reserve requirement ratio (RRR) for financial institutions by 0.25 percentage points, which will bring the weighted average RRR level to 7.8%. The RRR cut will take effect on December 5 and is expected to inject 500 billion yuan (69.45 billion US dollars) of liquidity into the economy.
This policy would cut the financial costs of refractory companies.

4.1 Xingyang Tenai to resume white fused alumina production
A major white fused alumina supplier in China, Xingyang Tenai Abrasive Materials Co., Ltd. would resume production in a week, expecting to produce about 600t in November. They halted production in early October due to pandemic quarantine and plan to resume production next week. They expect to produce about 1,000t in November and would reach full operation since December. With a production capacity of 36,000tpy, the company produced about 5,000t so far this year and expected to produce about 6,000t in 2022. Currently they hold an inventory of nearly 200t.
4.2 Henan Taiyuan to resume white fused alumina production
Henan Taiyuan Abrasive Technology Co., Ltd., a major white fused alumina producer in China, plans to resume production in a week and would produce about 1,000t in November. They suspended production in early September due to weak market demand and plan to resume production in a week. They expect to produce about 1,000t in November after they settle down the electricity price with local power plant. With a production capacity of 31,500tpy, the company produced about 5,000t so far this year and expected to produce about 7,000t in 2022. Currently they hold an inventory of nearly 600t.
