Capchem to invest RMB1.2 billion in building battery and semi-conductor chemical product base in Huizhou

Capchem announced on December 13th that it will invest in building an electronic and chemical product project in Daya Bay Petrochemical District in Huizhou with the total investment expected to be no more than RMB1.2 billion (USD172.32 million) and the building period of two years. The project includes the production, R&D and pilot production base for batteries, semi-conductors and other electric and chemical products.
It's learned that Capchem has an annual production capacity of 123,000t of electrolyte at present and is expected to realize annual sales of 113,000t in 2022. As for semi-conductor business, Capchem planned to build relative projects in Tianjin, Chongqing, Zhuhai and other regions with a total planned production capacity of about 350,000t of semi-conductor products in the long run.
