Yunnan Germanium completes transformation of some 6-inch GaAs wafer production lines

Yunnan Germanium recently said on the investor interaction platform that the current production capacity of compound semiconductor materials of its holding subsidiary, Yunnan Xinyao Semiconductor Materials Co., Ltd., is 800,000 pieces of GaAs chip (2-4 inches) and 150,000 pieces of InP chip (2-4 inches) per year. The company disclosed in the Announcement on Implementation of "Indium Phosphide Single Crystal Chip Construction Project" that it is expected to achieve an annual operating income of RMB320 million (USD45.95 million) after the project reached the designed production capacity. As for the GaAs wafer production line, the company has completed the transformation of some 6-inch GaAs production lines and was being certified by customers. After the certification, the company will determine the transformation scale according to the real-time market situation.
