Huayou Cobalt: First converter of 45,000-metal-ton-nickel matte project goes into pilot production

On November 21, Huayou Cobalt revealed on its investor platform that, to ensure supply of nickel-cobalt resources used in Li-battery material production, the company further expanded laterite nickel ore development in Indonesia. Huayue company's 60,000-metal-ton-nickel laterite hydrometallurgical smelting project achieved full-nameplate production in the first half of 2022 and the first converter of the Huake company's 45,000-metal-ton-nickel matte project went into pilot production recently.
