Malion to invest RMB10 billion in new energy & high polymer material project

Malion New Materials Co., Ltd. announced on November 21 that the company intends to develop a 2.3-million-ton new energy and high polymer material industrialization construction project through its wholly owned subsidiary, Malion New Materials (Sichuan) Co., Ltd., and inject RMB450 million (USD63 million) into the subsidiary.
The project, located in Puguang Chemical Industry Park of Dazhou, Sichuan, plans to occupy an area of 2,800mu and will be constructed within 60 months by three stages. The first phase is to construct a 900ktpy sulfuric acid facility and a 200ktpy titanium dioxide facility to produce 300,000t of high-end plastic masterbatch and 600,000t of ferrous sulfate per annum, with an estimated investment of RMB3 billion (USD420 million). The second phase is to build a 1.2Mtpy sulfuric acid facility and a 300ktpy titanium dioxide facility to produce 500,000t of high-end plastic masterbatch and 900,000t of ferrous sulfate per year, with an estimated investment of RMB4.5 billion (USD629 million). The third phase is to construct power lithium battery separator production lines of 1.5 billion square meters, with an estimated investment of RMB2.5 billion (USD350 million). After full completion, the project will bring an annual output value of RMB16 billion (USD2.24 billion) with an annual tax of RMB1 billion (USD140 million).
