CAAM: China's auto sales grow by 6.9% YoY in Oct

China's auto production and sales recorded 2.6 million units and 2.51 million units respectively in October 2022, down by 2.7% and 4% from September while up by 11.1% and 6.9% from the year-ago period, according to data released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In October, China's NEV production and sales jumped by 87.6% and 81.7% year on year to 762,000 units and 714,000 units respectively, and NEV market share rose to 28.5%.
In the first ten months, China's auto production totaled 22.24 million units, up by 7.9% YoY, 0.5 percentage points higher than that of the first nine months, and auto sales grew by 4.6% YoY to 21.98 million units, 0.3 percentage points faster than Jan-Sep period.
