  • Lanxin Iron and Steel Group to build 1.15Mtpy iron-making capacity

    In accordance with relevant guidelines and implementation measures issued by the State Council, the blast furnace upgrade project capacity replacement scheme drawn up by Lanxin Iron and Steel Group was released by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Gansu Province on October 28.

    According to the scheme, the company plans to build a blast furnace with ironmaking capacity of 1,150,000tpy through a capacity replacement program. Construction of the proposed blast furnace is scheduled to begin in December 2022 with production expected in December 2024.
