1. Market Highlights
As most miners decreased their export prices of manganese ore in September due to weak demand, the mainstream prices of Chinese import manganese ore dropped MoM.
Given that most suppliers hold less inventory in September, they lifted prices since the second week of the month. Therefore, the mainstream prices of Chinese silicomanganese and HC ferromanganese increased MoM.
Due to weak demand, most suppliers dropped their prices to promote sales of MC and LC ferromanganese. Hence, the mainstream prices of Chinese MC and LC ferromanganese decreased from the previous month.
As most suppliers firmed their prices given tight supply but weak demand in September, the mainstream prices of Chinese manganese flake 99.7%min kept unchanged MoM. The export prices of Chinese manganese flake 99.7%min stayed similar from last month following the EXW prices. Given weak demand and decreased ocean freight, the mainstream prices of manganese flake 99.7%min in Japan, South Korea, India and European countries dropped from late last month.
