China's rare earth exports via Tianjin Port up by 135.2% in H1 2022

Chinese customs statistics show that in the first half of 2022 rare earth exports via Tianjin Port were 14,000t, up by 13.1% from exports in the same period of last year, and export value were RMB1,238 million (USD183 million), up by 135.2%.
In H1 20022 via Tianjin Port, rare earth exports by state-owned enterprises were 8,975.8t, up by 2.8% YOY and accounting for 65.5% of the total RE exports via Tianjin Port.
Main destinations were the U.S., Japan and the Netherlands. In the first half of 2022, rare earth exports via Tinjin Port to the U.S. were 4,518.6t, up by 76.9%; exports to Japan were 4,275.2t, down by 14.9%; and exports to the Netherlands were 2,417.4t, up by 8.9%. Exports to the three countries accounted for 81.9% of total rare earth exports in H1 2022.
