NDRC: China's steel industry should further reduce crude steel production

In the second half of 2022, China's steel industry should keep the high-quality development by strictly prohibiting new capacity, further cutting crude steel production, carrying out merging and reorganization, advancing low-carbon transition, and accelerating the development of domestic iron ore mines, an official from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China said during a meeting held on July 29.
