Lygend's phase three of OBI cobalt-nickel HPAL project breaks ground

The third phase of OBI cobalt-nickel HPAL project in Indonesia launched by China's Lygend Resources & Technology Co., Ltd. broke ground on June 27. The phase three, with a planned production capacity of 60,000 metal tons, is expected to commence production in September 2023.
The first phase of the project with capacity of 37,000tpy of nickel metal began production in October 2021, and the second phase, with capacity of 18,000tpy of nickel metal, is set to commence production in Q3 2022.
