On June 26, Lishen Binhai New Energy Industrial Base project was launched in Binhai High-tech Zone. Covering an area of 143 acres, the project is invested and built by Tianjin Lishen Battery Joint-stock Co., Ltd. located in Tianjin Binhai High-tech Zone with a planned annual output of 24GWh power batteries and a total investment of over RMB10 billion (USD1.49 billion).
It is reported that the project's 24GWh production capacity will be formed through 3 construction phases in 4 years, with each phase to build 8GWh power batteries. After reaching full production, the annual output value of the project is expected to reach RMB12 billion (USD1.8 billion), and it will become the largest and most advanced power battery industrial base in North China.
