Huayou Cobalt to raise no more than RMB17.7 billion to increase lithium battery material capacity

Huayou Cobalt announced on June 19th that it will raise no more than RMB17.7 billion (USD2.66 billion) through private placement and all the funds, after the deduction of issuance fees, will be used to develop Indonesia Huashan Nickel and Cobalt Company's 120,000tpy (metal volume) nickel & cobalt hydroxide hydrometallurgical project and Guangxi Huayou Lithium's 50,000tpy battery grade lithium salt project and supplement working capitals.
