PCCOOLER breaks ground on 5-billion-yuan Li-ion battery cathode materials production base

The groundbreaking ceremony for Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture Li-ion battery cathode materials production base was recently held in Mengzi Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The production base is a joint project between Shenzhen Fluence Technology PLC (PCCOOLER) and Gejiu Superhoo Industries Co., Ltd., with total investment of RMB5 billion (USD750 million) and a land area of about 8Mu (53.33 hectares). The project will build waste Li-ion battery and electrode material recycling production line with a designed processing capacity of 45,000 metal tons equivalent per annum, 60,000tpa precursor production line, 20,000tpa lithium carbonate production line and 20,000tpa cathode materials production line. The project consists of three phrases and construction would take four years to complete.
