WBMS: Global zinc market has surplus of 37,800 tons in Jan-Mar 2022

According to the latest report data released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) on Wednesday, the global zinc market has a surplus of 37,800 tons in January-March 2022, compared with a shortage of 99,600 tons in 2021.
Global refined zinc production fell by 0.5% year-on-year, while the demand was flat against the same period last year . In particular, China's apparent demand reached nearly 1 . 57 million tons, accounting for 45% of the global total volume . In March 2022, the output of zinc plate reported about 1 . 21 million tons, and the demand was around 1 . 24 million tons.
