WBMS: Global lead market has deficit of 92,000 tons in Jan-Mar 2022

According to the latest report data released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) on Wednesday, the global lead market was in short supply by 92,000 tons in January-March 2022, compared with the deficit of 148,400 tons in 2021.
Lead inventories at the end of March were 7,200 tons lower than the end of 2021. From January to March 2022, global refined lead production reached nearly 3 . 55 million tons, an increase of 0 . 5% over the same period in 2021.
Apparent demand in China is estimated at nearly 1.77 million tons, 14,000 tons higher than the corresponding period in 2021, accounting for about 49% of the global total volume.
In March, global refined lead production recorded about 1.24 million tons, and the demand was nearly 1 . 26 million tons.
